We were delighted to have Polly come visit us in California this weekend - we had a great time!
Friday - Dinner in Los Gatos at the Los Gatos Brewing Company and custard cones at Willow Glen Frozen Yogurt
Saturday - Lunch in Carmel, then lounging on the beach, driving through 17 mile drive, then to Pacific Grove to see the pink ice plant all along the coast, then to Monterrey and Cannery Row for a coffee and a stroll
Sunday - University of California at Santa Cruz, strolling in the redwoods. Pier walking, mini kite flying, Corona drinking, oyster eating and generally softening our spirits and minds in the California sea breeze. A lovely dinner in downtown San Jose ended the weekend

Thanks for taking such good care of my mom. On the way home from the airport...she couldn't say enough about how wonderful, kind, and patient you both are, what a good time she had, and how lucky she is to be your grandmother.
