MY JOLLY RANCHER IS COMING HOME TOMORROW!

Hola Familia!

I just wanted to let you know that I'm VERY HAPPY because my Jolly Rancher comes home tomorrow afternoon, after a LONG month in Europe............YIIIPPPPEEEE!!!!

Suegros, thank you very much for inviting us the the Annual Reed Fourth of July Fiesta. It was great seeing you, Amber, the Grand Parents, the Aunts, as well as meeting the friends and neighbors. I have some good pictures and I'll download them this weekend. The Jolly Rancher took the picture downloading device with him on his trip. Susie and I had a great time singing (Susie), screeching (Me) with all of you; especially, singing the Blues around the fire pit........Muchas Gracias!

Also, Amy & Greg had recommended a movie to us. It's called ONCE, and it's about Musicians, their inspirations, falling in love Musically (As Susie explained to me), and a refreshingly surprising ending. Sue and I went to see it today and we really liked it! Thanks for the recommendation. After the movie Susie and I continued our Indy Movie discussion through the isles of an Indian Clothing store right there at Tamarac, which was having a Super Sale and Sue found several items at magnificent prices for Stage Performances. Since we were not finished dissecting the movie performances yet, we stopped at Starbucks for a quick coffee for me before heading out across the street to Whole Foods. While admiring the colorful produce and freshly cut fruits, we talked and snacked for 40 minutes before buying our actual dinner, Basil Tomato Soup and Chipotle Tomato Soup accompanied by two incredibly delicious pieces of bread....SO Yummy! We had a couple of encounters with "Interesting" people, our Nepalese clothing store clerk, with a Third Eye, the older lady at the Prepared Foods Department at Whole Foods, our hearing impaired cashier at Whole Foods, the gentleman standing behind Sue at the cash register.............but those stories would be better told in person at our next Familia get together, as they require language accents, facial expressions and body language.

Speaking of Recommendations, I just finished reading a Memoir by J.R. Moehringer, called THE TENDER BAR. "A classic American story of self invention and escape, of the fierce love between a single mother and an only son, it's also a moving portrait of one boy's struggle to become a man, and an unforgettable depiction of how men remain, at heart, lost boys". The Author is a National Correspondent for the Los Angeles Times and he lives in Denver, CO. While I'm at it, two more Book recommendations: EINSTEIN, HIS LIFE AND UNIVERSE By Walter Isaacson, and THE TIPPING POINT By Malcolm Gladwell.

Amy, I have 3 books that I need to finish reading and return to the library in the next couple of weeks. So, if it's O.K. with you I'll take the two Phillipa Gregory books you lent me to Puerto Vallarta with me on July 19Th ? We'll be back before the end of the month.

My.....what a Chatty Head I am, no ? Just touching base with the Familia!

Con Carino, MoonRaka
