Spring in the Rockies

Deb and I needed a break from our basement finishing project. We took a drive up to the mountains on Sunday and saw these cool mountain goats. They were just grazing along the side of the dirt road and did not seem at all interested that we were there. We have seen tons of elk, deer and even bears in the high country but this was our first mountain goat sighting.
By the way, the Colorado high country is absolutely breathtaking at this time of year. We drove through Guanella pass and even though we only did a Sunday drive it seemed like a mini vacation. We encountered about a foot of snow, a small thunderstorm and blinding sunshine all in one day.

Great pictures. I love weekends that turn out to be mini-vacations!

Johaaaan & Deiiiibie, This is, by far, one of the BEST Springs I've experienced in Colorado. It's as if ALL creatures are being touched by the same hand. The environment is so clean, so fresh, so picturesque, just SO Beautiful. Loved the pictures of the "CHIVOS".
